Why?

Bible Reading Today: Numbers 18-20

Numbers 20:4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?

Why...a question we never get tired of asking, no matter how young or old we are...the Israelites have many instances in which they ask why, reconsider, complain, fear, doubt etc. Sometimes, they look to the past & ask why they can't return to it. Sometimes, as in the case of this Scripture, they question the present & what it will mean for their future-why this wilderness? Will we die here eventually?? So many questions...but that's why we have just 1 God! Our God, Jesus Christ, does not want to complicate things or confuse us. To all the millions of "whys" out there, there are a million reasons to turn to Him! We should not blame God, seeing it was man who welcomed evil into the world...we should welcome God into our lives as the One who will help us stay on the righteous track! So the next time we ask, "Why this wilderness?" We simply need to understand it is a time to draw close to God & trust in Him! In doing so, future difficulties won't scare us as much!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
