A Beautiful Battle
Based on Ezekiel 5-7, Hebrews 12
"As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them." Ezekiel 7:20
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say...but it's also in the "I" of the beholder too. "I" have to be careful of what "I" find beautiful. If I focus too much on what I look upon, the things I see, the newest trends..."I" might get wrapped up in a one-person world, not caring much for God or anyone else! We have to be so careful of this! God has given us precious things, many blessings, and if we are not careful, we could focus too much on the blessing & not The Blesser! While it can be tough to keep focused on the priorities, that battle of keeping ourselves on track is more beautiful than the things we hold in our hands!
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us," Hebrews 12:1
It's hard to run with too much stuff in our hands! We need to lay it down. The physical possessions affect our minds in more ways than we can realize. Obsessions over possessions are not beautiful, but the battle & race we run to win IS beautiful! That's because it serves a Heavenly, Spiritual & God-given purpose which extends into eternity! We can have it FOREVER!
"but ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels," Hebrews 12:22
Letting go is sometimes more beautiful than hanging on. We can't forget that the definition of true beauty is God! He created all things here, but there's a place more beautiful and majestic than this present world...so often we rest & find comfort in what we can see...but we forget the promises of God are real and are described to us vividly in His precious Word! Connect with God, win the battle & be TRULY beautiful in Jesus' Name!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
