A Better Hope

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 120-122, 1 Corinthians 9

"The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand." Psalm 121:5

This is such a comforting Scripture. The Lord will KEEP US! He will keep us safe. He will keep us protected. He will keep us preserved...and the list goes on! Why should we linger outside of His love? Why should we entrust the world with our very beings, when we were created by God? He is the shade upon our right hand...He is that shadow that follows us as a reminder that He's still God, and He's still there! We are in no better hands than the Hands of God!

"The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore." Psalm 121:7‭-‬8

It is for our souls, not just the protection & preservation of our physical bodies! The path The Lord leads us on takes us all the way to Heaven! The Lord never misguides or misdirects our steps...His preservation is a shelter & shield of safety surrounding us!

"For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope." 1 Corinthians 9:9‭-‬10

...So let's plow in hope! Let's work & serve The Lord in hope! His Word promises us that He will bring us through to the promise land-to Heaven-to eternal life! Does He care for the oxen? Of course! Does He care for us? More than we could ever imagine...but at least His Word gives us a glimpse of that!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
