A Flood of Love
Based on Genesis 4-7
"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
Genesis 6:5-6
As we come to the point of The Great Flood, we can only imagine the panic & destruction which went forth upon the earth when they realized that Noah was right. All his preparations were for a real cause for a real God...but before that flood, there was another. There was a flood of love from God! All God ever wanted, and still wants today, is a close, heart-felt relationship with us. It's not complicated, yet sometimes our lack of desire creates imaginary obstacles & hoops we have to jump through to make living for God possible...but that's not the case! This rejection of God brought wickedness & ultimately a flood of judgment upon the earth...just as we cry tears over a broken relationship, the flood was God's.
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD." Genesis 6:8
Thankfully, there was Noah! Someone who not only understood obedience, but understood the reasoning behind it-that reason being an overflowing flood of love for God!
"These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God."
Genesis 6:9
Let's not only read & think on the things of God this year-let's walk in them like Noah. Even in a world flooded with disease, depression, delusions & so much more, we can flood our lives with the love of God! Then we won't be grieved, and our loving God won't be either.

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
