A Foreign Language

Bible Reading Today: Psalms 81, 88, 92-93

Psalms 81:5

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

When we say something is foreign to us, we mean that it is different to the point that we don't understand it. It can be anything, but most commonly, it's a language...and every nation has its language, even the language of Heaven! Joseph was in Egypt as the Scripture states, and he did not understand their foreign language & foreign ways...but we do not want the ways of Jesus & the language of Heaven to be foreign to us! Although when we speak in tongues it is a language we do not understand, it is a sign that we have received the Holy Ghost (God in us), and we are actually closer to God than we ever have been before! The words may be foreign, but we actually receive His Spirit which gives us a greater understanding & illumination of His Word! So, in this case, the language of Heaven is on our lips, whether we understand it or not! We just have to want it...and we absolutely need to for salvation! Are you ready for the gift of the language of Heaven, our true Homeland? God understands what you're speaking...the words may be foreign, but the heart & mind is opened to God! New language, new hope, new life, new connection to Jesus! Make this foreign language yours!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
