A Grand Entrance
Bible Reading Today: Matthew 20-21
Matthew 21:10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
Jesus came into Jerusalem being celebrated by many, while others were upset at His fame & appreciation from the crowd. Others questioned as this Scripture states, saying, "Who is this?" Either way, the city was moved! As Jesus made His grand entrance, with a parade of people praising Him, the heart of the city was stirred. To those who asked, "Who is this?" Jesus would make Himself known to them. To those who loved & celebrated Him, Jesus would gain some followers. To those who were angry at His presence, Jesus would challenge them with parables. Again, either way, the city was moved! The heart of the city was shaken to the core! And what about our own individual hearts? Are we allowing Jesus to make His grand entrance? If our question is, "Who is this?" then good news! When Jesus comes into our hearts as the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in new tongues, we get to know Him on a deeper level than we ever thought possible! Jesus will then recognize us by His Spirit in eternity, so we then get to make our grand entrance into Heaven one day when we receive this precious gift, with baptism & a life of repentance! Embrace Jesus' desire to enter your life & see what He will do...the entrance is just the beginning!
