A Heart to the Heavens
Bible Reading 8/26: Lamentations 3:37-5:22
Lamentations 3:41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
Some people "wear their hearts on their sleeves." They have a hard time hiding their true feelings, and are impacted greatly by sentimental moments...I definitely feel as though my heart is on my sleeve most the time! Even though there are times when I want to hold back, I find that the release of these emotions is good-especially when released with love! A major prayer request of mine is to not let my emotions get the best of me, but also using the "heart on the sleeve" method for good! In this Scripture, we see that when we raise our hands in paise to The Lord, we lift up our hearts too! Praising God is an act of loving Him! God wants us to be open to loving Him, transparent, not hiding anything...so we must have our hearts on our sleeves in praise! Our hearts can best be intimately connected to God through open praise & worship. Don't be afraid to lift your heart with your hands all the way to Heaven!
