A Heavenly Sight

A Heavenly Sight

Based on Ezekiel 8-10, Hebrews 13

The visions of Ezekiel are amazing in many ways. There is so much depth & detail, it's hard to pick out certain passages to post about! But looking at the overall picture, Ezekiel certainly saw Heavenly sights! Even if they were signs of judgment, they were things so far beyond this world...but God brought those visions to earth for a reason, and now they are in His Word for us all to read & study! We have to think beyond sometimes. What we do in this life not only affects the here & now, but there's a Spiritual application too!

"Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Hebrews 13:1‭-‬2

We might just be in the presence of angels! Someone in our life might be sent by God at a certain moment to encourage us to move a little closer to The Lord. We dismiss a lot nowadays with our busy schedules, but we just might need some guidance & direction we don't want to miss out on! Church services are Heavenly sights! We get our sights set straight on our way to Heaven, and for that, we can be truly grateful!

"For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

Hebrews 13:14‭-‬16

We are looking toward a better life & better home! The sacrifices we give now are not earthly, but Spiritual in our thanks & praise to God! Again, we've got Heavenly sights! Our sights are set on Jesus! Imagine if Ezekiel's sights were elsewhere...the incredible things he would have missed! Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, knowing He has more to show us than we can even imagine!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
