A Helping Hand

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Isaiah 41-42, 1 Thessalonians 1

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10

Strengthen. Help. Uphold with the right Hand of His righteousness...these are the Words of our God! God spoke through Isaiah so many reminders of Who He was, and Who He continues to be! He is ALWAYS there with a helping hand for us, and it's a Hand of righteousness which can do us no wrong! Why choose any other route?

"For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." Isaiah 41:13

His helping Hand holds OURS! He not only has an ear to listen to our prayers, but He answers our prayers by direct intervention into our lives! HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE DISTANT FROM US! We need to hold His Hand & walk forward, knowing confidently that God's got this! He IS a prayer-answering God!

"I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house." Isaiah 42:6‭-‬7

"remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;" 1 Thessalonians 1:3

The work of faith & labor of love which Jesus started needs to be completed in us! We need to let God work through us so that others can be helped too! We need to be prison-breakers of those locked up by depression! We need to bring light to those stuck in dark times! Jesus is our helping Hand, and as He helps us, we need to extend our hands to others! Also, we can always extend our hands in praise & thanks, because He ALWAYS has the victory!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
