A House United
Based on Jeremiah 37-39, Hebrews 3
"And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem." Jeremiah 39:8
Jeremiah was preaching & prophesying Truth to God's people, as much as they didn't want to hear it...Jerusalem WOULD fall. Jerusalem WOULD be taken captive. The walls WERE broken down, and the people WERE divided...those who were not prepared, pridefully perished...but those who surrendered humbly & peacefully would one day return. The house that was divided would one day be reunited. There is always a promise to God's people! But is there always a pledge from God's people back to Him? Not from all, but from a faithful few...we need to be the faithful few in this day & hour! Just like we pledge allegiance to the flag of our United country, we too have to pledge to be a United people to Our God, inviting all we know like Jeremiah faithfully did, from the king to the common people!
"Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzar-adan the captain of the guard, saying, Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee." Jeremiah 39:11-12
Jeremiah was given good treatment by those taking Jerusalem captive-and it was no coincidence! It was a work of God! When we dedicate ourselves to our Lord, we don't have to worry about what's to come. Isn't that a soothing thought, especially today? When it seems like we have no say in who is control, we can know that when Jesus takes the wheel of our lives, all is well! We can even say yes to captivity knowing it won't be the end of our story! Let's make that our United battle cry! All for ONE GOD, JESUS CHRIST!
"For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." Hebrews 3:4-6
When we are God's United church, repentant, baptized in His Name & filled with His Spirit, we are His house & family. We belong to Him, not anyone else! We must stand firm until the end. When we are United with God's purpose for our lives, we can't go wrong!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
