A Little Hope

Bible Reading Today: Numbers 16-17

Numbers 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

The Israelites went through a lot in these couple chapters-many times they refused to trust in The Lord, and they chose to complain saying that Egypt was better than where Moses brought them to. Much wrath & judgment was kindled in The Lord, and it seemed like there was no hope for God's people...but there was a rod that budded! Moses & Aaron constantly prayed & pleaded with God to save the people, and many times, God did. That must have been a very emotional & intense prayer session! But again, thankfully, God gave a gentle sign through all of that-the budding rod. The little that grew on there was largely significant because God said that once the rod blossomed, the murmurings would finally cease. There would finally be a little hope & peace! That didn't mean things would be perfect, but it meant that there would be this constant sign to show the people when rebellion would rise up again. Just a few little leaves gave a little hope! If you're dealing with an ongoing difficult situation, just know that God has many signs of peace & hope in His Word...you just have to have an open heart to receive them! Then see what will blossom in your life!
