A Little Less Fluff
Bible Reading 11/27: 1 Corinthians 4-6
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
It does not take much to share the Truth...I think I expressed this in my last post somewhat (and I know it's been a while; I apologize!). Last time I talked about how we hide the Truth of God in a long, elaborate story out of fear of rejection. Another way we "subtly" share the Truth is through sugar-coating. Dressing it up. Hyping it up or changing it in a way which makes serving The Lord seem like "a piece of cake"...or leavened bread, for purposes of this passage of Scripture! We don't need to pridefully share The Word in a way that puffs us up and makes us look like the picture of perfection the minute we decided to live a life dedicated to Jesus. We need to share the raw, unleavened Truth in sincerity. We need to be transparent. If we are truly living for Jesus, it's not the most glamorous thing...but it's the most glorious thing! We might gain some strange looks as we live differently, but God is looking upon us with joy & gladness! We might feel like we don't belong sometimes, but that's because we are citizens of Heaven! We need to be an unleavened, flat-out Christian, easily recognizable to the world around us! A little less fluff shows the real stuff. Give up the glamorous for the glorious in Jesus' Name! The inner treasures we gain far outweigh what it might look like on the outside!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
