A Loving Endurance
Based on 1 John 1-3, Psalm 136
To keep going in any particular challenge or excursion can be exhausting, especially if you lose sight of the cause. If you lose the love & passion for the mission, it might be because you forgot why you're doing it. Life itself, in its entirety, can seem that way sometimes-but it doesn't have to be. Not if we remember how much God loves us, and we love Him, and keep up that loving endurance along the way!
"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth."
1 John 3:18.
Our words say a lot-but we stay in the same spot! Love in action keeps us moving & motivated! It's all about the follow-thru! We need to be both hearers & doers of God's Word. Our loved ones love to hear "I love you," but they love it more & feel it more when it is shown in creative, pure, honest & genuine ways! God is the same way! That's why we worship & praise with our hands raised! It makes us joyful, too! Love when push comes to shove, and life won't seem so tough!
"For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another." 1 John 3:11.
God is love, and love is the most valuable thing God has been trying to show us since the beginning of time! His love is written out through His Word (and He is His Word, too!). Love keeps us going. It's a loving endurance which keeps us merrily moving forward! GOD IS OUR MOTIVATION!!
"Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:" Psalms 136:23.
Jesus will pull us up when we are feeling low. He will wrap us in His love & help us endure whatever it is that life throws at us! His mercy & love endure forever! Next time you feel like you don't want to continue the journey, let the love of God carry you the rest of the way!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
