A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3...
And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation...
But a Spiritual one.
Knowing that creation
Would mean redemption.
It would mean...
Heaven needs to touch earth...
Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness...
The process of creating was ongoing...
All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water & Spirit (Acts 2:38)...
Which would not have happened...
If Friday's darkest hour did not take place.
So "let there be light,"
Let there be peace,
Let there be hope,
Started in darkness.
But the rays of God's love did...
In fact...
Pierce that veil of darkness.
The earth shook.
Flesh quaked.
And a silent Saturday takes place.
A moment of silence
For what has happened
And a quiet pondering
On what's to come...
It's a place of waiting.
Of anticipating.
Of not allowing the darkness
To mean hopelessness.
To know emptiness without Him,
Will mean an empty tomb
Where we can experience life with Him forever.
For those who know The Word,
And know Jesus as Messiah,
Know what the ending looks like...
So as we look forward to Sunday...
We can truly say...
There will be light!
Joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)!
It will be seen.
And if our hearts are as open as the tomb...
It will be felt eternally!
Resurrection Sunday
Was not meant for "one day."
It was, again, ongoing...
For all to have the Light of Jesus
Shining through every life,
Piercing through every dark place,
Creating new life...
So, creation meant redemption...
And now redemption means creation...
In Him.
For Him.
To Him.
Always.
"Let there be light" were His first recorded words.
He took His last breath in human form.
Then silence.
And now Light forever reigns.
The veil is torn.
We are connected.
And he forever speaks to us through His Word & Spirit...
Let the stones of our hearts roll away...
Let not a rock cry out in our place (Luke 19:40)...
Let's not only celebrate Him this weekend,
But experience Him!
