A Morning Person
Bible Reading Today: Lamentations 1:1-3:36
Lamentations 3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
It's not easy to be a morning person, but it's so beneficial to us! Physically, we get our bodies going & adjusted to the day ahead of time. Mentally, our minds can prepare for the tasks which lay ahead. Emotionally, we are not overwhelmed by running late or being thrown into a busy day. And most of all, we get a chance to focus on The Lord first-Spiritually! In the Scripture before the one above, it talks about God's mercies and compassion. In this Scripture above, we find out these are new EVERY MORNING! New day, new hope, new chance to get it right! Obviously whatever time you wake up, God is great in faithfulness & willing to give us mercy and compassion...but how quickly do we forget when we are rushed and our minds are scattered? Face it, if we are not morning people, we are mourning people! We sink under the weight of the day instead of remembering to embrace those mercies & compassion! God gives them, but we can't forget them! Let's be morning people, not mourning people!
