A Must to Trust

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 20-22, Acts 21:1-17

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: But we are risen, and stand upright." Psalm 20:7‭-‬8

It's easy to trust what we see around us. In those days, it was horses & chariots...today, it's mainstream media & government...it all pretty much represents the same thing though: the world, or God? The seen, or the unseen? People's opinion, or God's Truth? We must trust in our God, because He always comes through for us! His Perfect Will has greater purpose & meaning than anything else on earth!

"For the king trusteth in the LORD, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved." Psalm 21:7

We can't trust the world because the world uses our fear against us. We don't have to fear man, we just have to fear God! And this fear of God is not being afraid, but submitting a deep respect to Him...trusting Him with our lives! The world will mishandle our lives, but God will always be on our side!

"Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: So will we sing and praise thy power." Psalm 21:13

"Our fathers trusted in thee: They trusted, and thou didst deliver them. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not confounded."

Psalm 22:4‭-‬5

His power & strength have been trusted through the ages! No one ever made a wrong choice by trusting God!

"Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done." Acts 21:13‭-‬14

Even in facing death, we can trust in God! This may seem like a situation where the people trying to persuade Paul were thinking, "This must be a wrong choice! Don't go there if you'll face death!" But Paul was prayed up & knew God's Will! He loved God, and knew that even death couldn't end his relationship with God! Do we have that deep of a must to trust?

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
