A Narrow Place
Bible Reading Today: Numbers 21-22
Numbers 22:26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
There are so many things which compete for our attention every day. The right hand & left both have a handful of things that require our time, effort & focus...but we can't forget God in the process of it all! This is one thing I for sure have to work on & prioritize consciously each day...and I have a lot of improvements I'd like to make to insure my time with God is protected! That's because God will prepare us for the things to come! Sometimes though, we need to be brought to a narrow place to get back on the straight & narrow path again...a place which doesn't have much room on the right or left to distract us-just like it states in the Scripture above! Balaam was riding his donkey, ignoring the direction of The Lord, and so he was constantly re-directed until he finally had to just come to a narrow place where he could no longer make a wrong turn! Have we ever been to a point like that? Where it seemed God was trying to make something so obvious to us? Balaam finally ended up listening to God, and so we need to be sure to finally listen to God when He brings us to that narrow place of focus upon Him alone! That's because He leads us back to that straight & narrow path which leads to Heaven! "because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
