A Prepared Heart
Bible Reading Today: Ezra 7-10
Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
Ezra was someone who truly had a heart after the things of God. He not only had a heart prepared to take on the task of bringing some of the captives back to Jerusalem, but he also had a prepared heart to bring their hearts back to Jerusalem too! It wasn't enough to only bring God's people back physically-they had to be brought back relationally into covenant with God too! Right after they were brought back, they dedicated many things back to God-except themselves. Shortly after, it was realized that the people took other wives from lands that did not serve The Lord. This did not happen to Ezra, because he did not only prepare his body for the travel back to Jerusalem...he prepared his heart! His heart was ready in task and in test. He interceded in prayer, pouring out his prepared heart to God, and the people repented and corrected their mistake. We can come to God with all we have, but when our heart is left out, everything will fall apart! The heart is where you start!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
