A Prosperous Promise

Bible Reading Today: Joshua 1-4

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Without trying, we tend to meditate on our worries. Our problems. Our fears...but one thing to remember is that worrying does not help what's to come tomorrow-it only steals today's peace. When we meditate on The Word of God, and we make an effort and a promise to do so, we somehow find a contentment in a world of chaos! We find peace in the problem! With Jesus, we can push the waves back & find calm in the storm! So often we want to focus on the promises and goodness of God without also making a promise on our end to stay true to His Word-both reading it and obeying! How can we make it to God's promise land without following God's plan? He will make our way to the promise prosperous if we promise to follow His Word & His ways! Let's make that promise to God since He always keeps His promises to us!

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
