A Real Zeal

Bible Reading 7/4: 2 Kings 9-11

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot. 2 Kings 10:16

Our zeal, passion & substance can be given toward many things in this life...but a REAL ZEAL should be given to The Lord, dedicated & committed to The Kingdom's Cause, and not swayed by simple, shiny distractions along the way...that's the type of real zeal king Jehu had! He invited Jehonadab into his chariot, and also invited him to see his zeal for The Lord. King Jehu was famous for destroying evil out of Israel. That included the enemy, the idol, and even the corrupted of God's people, who were some that fell victim to those "shiny distractions" along the way. The life that looks easy attracts our passion & heart, but that's also the lesser life that does not amount to very much. But a real zeal for The Lord will let us live a full life on earth & in eternity!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
