A Special Work
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalms 16:11. God will show us the path of life. The path of fullness. The one which will lead to joy in His presence & pleasures for evermore! But this path is also the path of holiness. It's a special path set apart for those willing to break from the natural & give into the supernatural. The ones who are willing to surrender their will & live according to God's perfect will!
Is anything ever made easy? I haven't experienced that! Everything we do has challenges and special requirements of us, but that's what makes the work so special! The Israelites learned this in the completion of the building of the tabernacle:
"And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD." Exodus 39:30.
Of course, there were many things which were made and fashioned intricately in order for this special work to come together, but this crown of holiness was the last thing mentioned in that long list of sacred items! Out of everything, God emphasizes HOLINESS. This special quality is a quality of God that nothing else in this world creates. That's why WE need to strive for holiness unto The Lord, being set apart unto the special work God has called us to do!
"Thus was all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation finished: and the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they."
Exodus 39:32.
The children of Israel were obedient to God's special blueprint for this special project. They were willing to set themselves apart to do something God called them to do, in the way He wanted it done. And finally, it was finished!
"And Moses did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the Lord had commanded, even so had they done it: and Moses blessed them." Exodus 39:43.
They were blessed for doing this special, willing work! Remember, "...at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" from our Psalm above. All because they took the obedient path! I'm sure there were times where they sweat & grew tired, but remember, a special work requires a special kind of service...that means being holy & set apart! We may have to make sacrifices to do the godly things in our lives, but those are always the things that are worth it!
After they practiced holiness in setting themselves apart, they needed to make the finished work holy too:
"And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy." Exodus 40:9.
Holiness without the tabernacle, holiness within! And a special anointing went forth for the priests as well:
"And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water. And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office."
Exodus 40:12-13.
"And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations." Exodus 40:15.
The special work passed on to the next generations! The work they were doing stretched far beyond themselves. Everything God desires of us has ETERNAL benefit! So why not dive in completely? Let's not hold back, because God sure doesn't! Whatever fears & insecurities we may have when it comes to serving God, I pray them away right now in Jesus' Name! Let's not be afraid of holiness: looking a little more like Jesus and a little less like this world! Nothin' wrong with that!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
