A Standing Spring

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 107-109, 1 Corinthians 4

"He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, And dry ground into watersprings."

Psalm 107:35

The wilderness can be a maze...just think of the Amazon rainforest (or Amazon.com, one can probably get lost on there just as easily searching for different items!). In our own times of wilderness & wandering through life, we may feel as though our head is spinning...where it stops, nobody knows! We may also feel dry & worn out...and this is where God comes to the rescue! When we call upon His Name, the Name of Jesus, He causes us to stand still instead of spin, and spring forth water instead of dry out!

"Give us help from trouble: For vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: For he it is that shall tread down our enemies." Psalm 108:12‭-‬13

He will ALWAYS give us help from trouble if we ALWAYS call upon His Name! He helps us in our situations, whether it be a wilderness, a dry season or an enemy! Man cannot help like God can! We will do VALIANTLY when we reach out to Him...we will become a standing spring instead of a wilted dream! Something WILL become of us when we dedicate our lives to God!

"For my love they are my adversaries: But I give myself unto prayer. And they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love." Psalm 109:4‭-‬5

We may try all we want to show love to the world, but it may not return it, and may also be offended by the love we try to show...but God never turns away our love & affection to Him! He shows it right back! And when we feel lost, dry & we don't have much more we can give, God takes that and creates a beautiful fountain, a standing spring, and restores us!

"For I am poor and needy, And my heart is wounded within me. I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust." Psalm 109:22‭-‬23

In our up & down rollercoaster life, God is the Stability. He is the Life-Giver. He is ALWAYS ENOUGH! In admitting weakness to God, we are not admitting defeat!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
