The Pietrzak Pack

A Starlit Spirit

Based on Genesis 13-15, Matthew 5: 1-26

"And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:5‭-‬6.

The Lord continued to confirm to Abraham (at that time, still called Abram) the wondrous promise He had in store for Him. Sure, Abram had his times of doubt...we've all asked if God would come through...but through this particular confirmation, Abram believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness! Through this belief, Abram would be blessed with a growing family as many as the stars in Heaven! Now that's a multiplied miracle! Abram was an example of a star of faith in the Old Testament. It's these same people, souls or "stars" which stemmed from the seed of Abraham which would shine a light to all those around to point & direct people to God! We need to be stars of faith with the starlit Spirit of God, shining a light into the darkness! That was God's intention from the first time He said, "Let there be light!"

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."
Matthew 5:6.

Abraham's life reflected what was later preached by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount! Abraham wanted God's Will. He wanted to be righteous. And he was truly blessed & filled with a HUGE FAMILY TREE!

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Matthew 5:14‭-‬16.

Abraham looked up to the heavens that night & peered into the future starlit souls who would shine the light of God's holy, starlit Spirit into a dark, dying world...all so that Jesus would be glorified! He came as the Light of the World, and there was a star which guided the way to Him (being the TRUE light)!

We need to be stars in the Kingdom of God. We need to bring light, life & hope into the world through God's Spirit working in us!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
