A Stray Soul

Based on Ezekiel 11-12, Proverbs 19

"And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then fell I down upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?" Ezekiel 11:13.

As we have previously discussed, Ezekiel saw so many visions from God and heard so many words from God which may have been hard for him to bear...he says, "Ah Lord God!" many times in the reading of his book. Ezekiel was seeing immediate judgment take place right before his eyes, and he was scared that was the end of Israel...but God had a plan for the stray souls which would turn their hearts back to him, even being scattered out of their homeland in captivity:

16: "Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. 17: Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." Ezekiel 11:16-17.

Even the stray will find their way! And isn't that how it is today? (No poem intended!). No country is left without the knowledge of God. There are always Truth-preaching churches, missionaries, and families God plants & uses for the purpose of reaching the stray souls!

"And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries. 16: But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD." Ezekiel 12:15-16.

God will continue to preserve His people, although we will all stand before Him in judgment one day. We need to be sure our soul is right with God & allow Him to use us to reach the stray souls who will listen! THEY ARE OUT THERE!

"Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off. 28: Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD." Ezekiel 12:27-28.

Many people today think the events are just passings seasons or phases of the world, that there is no deeper meaning or reason for what we are going through...they basically think the "God factor" is not a realistic application for today...but we need to consider this all a wake-up call! We have been scattered, shut-in to our homes because of a disease/pestilence, yet violence has not ceased. We may be experiencing similar times to Ezekiel, so let's go after those stray souls who will listen!
