A Timeless Gift

Bible Reading Today: 1 Kings 3-4, 2 Chronicles 1, Psalm 72

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 1 Kings 3:9

When Solomon was asked by God what he desired, Solomon wisely asked for wisdom...a gift God was so impressed with, that God blessed Solomon with other riches as well. But the true gift, was wisdom...something so timeless...something that connects us with Solomon, thousands of years before our time! The other riches would soon fade...remnants could be passed down, but soon deteriorate or be forgotten...but if we pass down wisdom of the Word of God, it will last forever! David prayed that for his son Solomon in Psalm 72...he claimed his son would prosper during his reign, and that's largely because of the loving, wise & God-fearing foundation which was laid for him by his father! What are we passing down to our children? Is it the material gifts, or eternal? What lasts the longest is what matters most! We need to pass down the timeless gift of wisdom of The Word!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
