A Wash & Refreshing

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Zechariah 13-14, Revelation 21

"In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness." Zechariah 13:1

"And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be." Zechariah 14:8

Many of the Scriptures today pointed to cleansing water-which I think is very needful for looking toward the new year! We all talk about a "clean slate," but how do we get there? How do we accomplish that & feel ready to enter into 2022? Well...getting washed in the water is what we've got to do!

"And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one." Zechariah 14:9

His Name is JESUS! He alone is our Provision, our River of Living Water...and when we are cleansed in the waters of baptism, we reflect Him & take on His Name! We experience that washing & cleansing both outwardly & inwardly as we also breathe that new breath of life by the Holy Ghost filling us! Just like we have to sometimes wash out the bitter tastes from our mouths, we have to rid ourselves of things this past year which have brought us down, and then we must take on those things which help us to stand for Jesus!

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4

In that great day, when we are finally with Jesus forever, there will be no more pain! Our Living Water, our Saviour, will then dry out our crying! When we are saturated by Him in His presence, we will no longer need to have tears springing up! That's the only "drying up" we will need! Again, the way into that place, to have that earthly preparation for the year to come & for eternity, is to repent, & wash, cleanse & refresh ourselves in baptism of water & Spirit!

"And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:5

"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely."

Revelation 21:6

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
