A Willing Worker

Gina Pietrzak

Based on 1 Chronicles 28-29, Psalm 124

"20: And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
21: And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skillful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment." 1 Chronicles 28:20-21.

When we say yes to God & are willing to do His work, we are saying yes to success! Yes to accomplishment! Yes to victory over things we're struggling with! Remember though-it IS work, and it takes dedication, strength & courage...but if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it! We just have to be willing to work & rely on God in the process! As David said to his son Solomon (and as Nike quoted later): "Be strong & of a good courage, and do it" JUST DO IT! ;)

"5: The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?
6: Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly," 1 Chronicles 29:5-6.

The people saw the dedication of David to gather materials in preparation to build the house of The Lord, and his dedication inspired many others to be willing workers! When our heart is set on God as David's was, we don't have to worry! We just have to be willing! God will help with the rest!

"17: I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee." 1 Chronicles 29:17.

There is joy in being willing to work for The Kingdom of God!! When we keep up the joy, as mentioned above, it inspires them to do the same:

"...the joy of the LORD is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10b

God WILL get you through it with His strengthening joy! We just have to be WILLING to say yes!!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
