Adopted
Based on Song of Solomon 6-8, Galatians 4
"Set me as a seal upon thine heart, As a seal upon thine arm: For love is strong as death; Jealousy is cruel as the grave: The coals thereof are coals of fire, Which hath a most vehement flame." Song of Solomon 8:6
Jesus loves us so much! He wants all to be a part of His family...even if we didn't grow up that way, even if we've made mistakes, He wants us to make things right & come to Him! He has a love for us which is beyond anything this world can provide. He has set us upon His heart, so let's set Him fully upon ours! Human love might be strong as death, but His goes beyond the grave! He is willing to run after us & adopt us...how great is our God!
"Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." Galatians 4:3-5
We all belonged to the world for a time...we all ran away with a false idea of love & hope, while God always had something true & pure to offer...but He redeemed us that we might receive that adoption! GOD IS LOVE! But where are we placing our love? Are we more in love with the ways of the world, or are we longing to be adopted & born into His family through repentance, water baptism in Jesus' Name & receiving the Holy Ghost?
"So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free." Galatians 4:31
It is our adoption into Jesus which will truly set us free. This world has so many uncertainties. So many unsafe things which can cause us to worry...but in Jesus, we find safety & hope!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
