Agreement with God
Based on Amos 1-3, Psalm 138
"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" Amos 3:3.
One of the most difficult challenges of today is agreement. So much divides our nation. We can't always walk or march together when we don't agree. Every topic is up for debate...but one thing we can be sure of is GOD! His Word is forever settled in Heaven. It never changes to fit into pop culture. When we are in agreement with Him, all is right in the world (or in our world at least!). When we are in communion with God, we are together on His team, and we are on the right & winning side!
"Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof. For they know not to do right, saith the Lord, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces." Amos 3:9-10.
Unfortunately, it is common for us to behold this same picture described above...great tumults, oppressed people, unrighteous, violence, robbery...the list goes on...there is nothing new under the sun in this world, but thankfully, God has not changed either! He is the same yesterday, today & forever! We want God to look out over our country and see greater things...so the change has to start with our connection and agreement with God! When we have God and share His Word with others, our country will be unified in Truth, not deception/destruction/distress!
"Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off." Psalm 138:6.
God respects the lowly because He wants to get on our level...even the most prideful person is beneath God! So when we humble ourselves to God, and surrender our will for His perfect Will, God will be close to us! The proud ones who believe they are "too good for God" cannot be in agreement with Him! How terrible it would be to cut off connection to the One True God, our Savior, Jesus Christ!
In a world of disagreement and division, stay close to Jesus. Agree with His Word & abide in His Will! Nothing better & nothing more hopeful!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
