All Ears

Bible Reading 11/3: Luke 22, John 13

Luke 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

"I'm all ears" means I'm listening & you have my full attention. Jesus wants all ears to be "all ears"! So many times in Scripture He says, "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear." Mark 4:23. The disciples heard Jesus say this with their ears too, but Peter was the one described in the above Scripture who cut off the ear of a soldier who was arresting Jesus. Jesus then tells Peter to put away his sword, and Jesus heals that soldier & restores his ear before He is arrested! He was still doing miracles in His arrest, because no bondage can stop the power of God! Jesus did not want Peter to cut off the ear of that soldier, because the war we fight is not against flesh & blood: Ephesians 6:12: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." We are not fighting people. We want even our greatest enemies to hear His Word and be saved, because a change of heart is worth more than a beating. Jesus restores this ear, and maybe, just maybe, through that miracle, that soldier was converted, able to hear the Words of Jesus, and bring other Gentiles to know of Him! Peter knew Jesus wanted ears to hear. To stop being deaf. To listen & obey the Word of God...and later on, Peter ends up being one of the key preachers to many more ears to hear the Words of Jesus! Let's not reject, let's restore all ears in Jesus' Name!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
