All Part of the Plan

Bible Reading Today: Judges 13-15

Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

As Moms, we can sometimes think that we don't make an impact on "the big picture" or "the grand scheme of things." We love our children & invest so much in them, yet we also have a feeling that, at times, we are not doing enough and we are disconnected from the big world out there. But in reality, we are all part of God's big plan! Just as Samson's mother had a significant role in raising a son with a special vow, we too play a significant role in raising children with special callings on their lives! We are doing a special job by helping our children grow into their callings-and they just might want to take on one of the greatest callings of all-raising the next generation! Now while I don't want to think about grandchildren any time soon, I do want to at least think ahead a little bit to the impact these days will have on my children in the years to come. I encourage all mothers out there to embrace these years with your little ones! Remind yourself daily that Motherhood (and Fatherhood!) IS a Ministry! We are all a part of His plan, and we have been given an important position to raise our children to be close to Jesus!
