All We Have
Based on Leviticus 1-3, Matthew 24:1-28
Have you ever pushed yourself so hard under pressure, but felt it still wasn't enough? Did you ever give it all you had, but still come up short? It is normal to feel unworthy. Exhausted. Spent...but as long as we keep going forward with Jesus & give it our all, we CAN make it through those tough times! We are NEVER worthy. We are NEVER at a place if pure perfection. But we CAN be our most when we give our ALL!
Again, be your most by giving your all. Don't shy away from the difficulty of the challenge. The sacrifice is probably a growth point! Just look back at the different kinds of sacrifices which were made back in the tabernacle days:
"And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the Lord be of the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish."
Leviticus 3:6.
No matter what kind of offering it was, peace, burnt, sin, etc., the animal had to be without blemish. This means there was nothing physically wrong with them. As animals, they couldn't make any sinful mistakes, so a physically spotless animal was the most accepted sacrifice. The inwardly blemished people gave an outwardly blemish-free animal as a sacrifice. Today, Jesus makes a way for us to be daily sacrifices for Him when we always stay humble and be sure to come to a place of repentance. HE WAS AND IS THE GREATEST SACRIFICE! When we go through the Acts 2:38 plan of salvation, the comfort of the Holy Ghost strengthens us through our sacrifices. When we come with a blemish-free heart through repentance, we are free from guilt and shame which will hold us back!
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38.
So...it's ok. With Jesus, WE CAN ENDURE TO THE END! Every hurdle in our lives seems too great when we face it without Jesus. Jesus uses these situations in powerful ways to change us for the better! Don't be afraid to give all you have after getting knocked down. With Jesus, you'll only come up stronger!
"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:13.
