All Wrong to Alright!

Based on Job 1-2, Acts 7:22-43

What happens to our character when everything is going wrong? I have gone through seasons before, even recently, where it just seems like things aren't working out at all. One thing after another just seems to be going wrong. Not so sure if it's just an exaggerated perspective or a reality check that's needed so I can make some changes in my life...but either way, my character does get affected. I feel more negative, and that sometimes spills over to my actions...that's a deep prayer request of mine, to handle conflict/hardships better! And it all starts with drawing nigh to God during those times instead of drawing away!

"Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." Job 1:10‭-‬12

Everything was taken from Job from Satan, with God's approval...why would God do that? Turns out, any time Satan wants to do anything, he has to go through God first! God even monitors what he does so it's not more than we can handle, but definitely enough to test our character and see if we turn to God in the process of things...it's just another way God protects us and has mercy on us! If Satan had had his own way, he probably would have just allowed Job to die a slow, agonizing death...but God allowed Job to go through that struggling season in a way that he would come through victorious! We don't welcome or like traumatizing situations, but praying through them and growing through them makes us stronger in character! God knew Job would not curse him and die! He blessed God and LIVED! All wrong to alright!

"and said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." Job 1:21‭-‬22

I pray that God would help me in this area! To allow my circumstances to build my character, not break it down! It's so easy to get stuck in a depressive whirlwind...but pressing and praying in the powerful presence of God brings a positive report! If not in our situation, in US! And sometimes that change was all God wanted in the first place, not necessarily a situation change, but a heart, mind & perspective change!

"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years." Acts 7:22‭, ‬35‭-‬36

Moses could have listened to the negativity of others, saying "who are you to try to rule over us?" He could have backed away from the burning bush. He could have run away in fear from Pharaoh when time after time Pharaoh rejected his plea for his people...but he kept going amidst a series of unfortunate events! He kept going and got to see some of the greatest, wondrous works of God! When it's all wrong, let's examine our hearts, not the situations...let God get to the core of our soul, not the problem...maybe, a solution will be revealed to the stuff we're going through, or maybe just a change in character is enough to get us through...either way, only God can take us from all wrong to alright!
