Ancient Things

Reading of the Day 4/24/25

1 Chronicles 4:22: And Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had the dominion in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. And these are ancient things.

The book of 1 Chronicles is all about geneologies. Bloodlines. Descendents. And the fact that this was listed out so orderly for generations is definitely a miracle of God! One part in particular that stood out to me was this above Scripture: "And these are ancient things..." I so much enjoy that God allowed this small, simple, yet powerful phrase to be added into His Word! These truly are ancient things! Since the beginning of time, people were documented...and before it could even be written out upon scrolls, it was passed down by word of mouth! God also was involved in quickening His people by His Spirit in order to document these things properly! We can't discount these ancient things! Just because society has ingrained, "out with the old, in with the new" we do not have to think that way for the wisdom of the ages found throughout God's Holy Word! The depth of history & life found within the pages holds more weight than any theory or new-age ideology! The Bible is tried & true! He will never fail us! God knew that defining His word as "ancient" could mean "out of date" to some people...but to hearts that are ready to be stirred & awakened, "ancient" means trustworthy. Timeless. Everlasting. Hopeful. And so much more! Let us love & embrace these ancient things!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
