And all of a sudden...

And all of a sudden...

Your world changes forever. Something abrupt & unexpected happens, and you feel as though you've been thrown into the desert with no compass (or no cell phone). You just aren't sure of the next steps to take when life hits you out of nowhere...

"Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:" 2 Peter 1:10.

When we are rooted in The Lord, we don't have to fear what tomorrow may bring. When our calling & election is sure, all of the "unsures" will take care of themselves. The Scripture puts it plain & simple: when we are sure & firm, we will NEVER FALL! We will never get the wind knocked out of us when life hands us a sudden "out of nowhere" situation!

Yes, we still can't see the future. We will still be taken by surprise. Things will still shock us. But we will take it positively or negatively depending on how much we are SURE about our God & His ability to set us back on course!

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
Jeremiah 29:11.

When we are sure about God and His promises now, we can expect a peaceful eternity! The whole point of the Holy Ghost is to be a directional compass from this life to the next. Adding His Word to our lives continues to give us more security and helps us stand firm to be sure we never fall.

"And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee." Psalms 39:7. What are we waiting for? This world is not a trustworthy place most of the time. Our hope needs to be sure in The Lord! When we are sure of our God, His hope, and His help, everything will fall into place instead of falling apart.

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
