ARE STORMS REALLY STORMS??

ARE STORMS REALLY STORMS??

Not with God! We may be impacted greatly by what we're going through, but it's HOW we are impacted that makes the difference! Remember, perspective is everything. How do you view the storm?

"I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
Psalms 91:2.

Psalm 91 is my favorite Psalm. It reminds me of a song I knew when I was younger, and every time I read it, I learn something new! David says here "I WILL say of the Lord..." He is making a bold declaration! He is not using an "if, then" statement. He is saying no matter what kind of storm it may look like, I know my God! He is and always will be my refuge, fortress & Rock I will trust!

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;"
Psalms 91:5. STUFF WILL HAPPEN! But will it give you fear, or build your faith?

"Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;  There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." Psalms 91:9‭-‬10. THAT'S THE BEST GUARANTEE I'VE EVER HEARD! The storms can't touch us, so why are we intimidated??

"Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king." 1 Peter 2:17.

Only fear God, in respect of who He is! Then, we will have faith in our storms, and they won't seem like storms at all!

One morning I saw lightning outside & was waiting for the crash of thunder, but it didn't happen! That made me think, you know what? Sometimes the storm's impact upon our lives isn't as horrible as we make it out to be. Sometimes, God is just trying to show us the world in a new light.

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
