Ask the Way
Based on Jeremiah 50, Hebrews 8
"They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten." Jeremiah 50:5
"They shall ask the way to Zion..." God spoke through Jeremiah many things, and there was a beautiful yet heart-wrenching depiction of Israel & Judah walking & weeping, wanting to come back to God...but they had to ask the way! They needed guidance, instruction & direction...asking the way was THE ONLY WAY! We might think of it as a hassle to ask for directions (if the GPS was wrong, for example), but it's more of a hassle to be lost! We LOSE so much being LOST! Especially our precious time! Everyone especially wants to know the way to Heaven, but many fear to ask the way...they make it up as they go, hoping they can make up their own version of Heaven too...
"My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace." Jeremiah 50:6
We can't make-believe reality. We can't re-create Truth. Some might be listening to the wrong voices. False doctrines. False senses of reality...but God's Word has been tried in the fire! His Word stands sure! He IS The Word! He IS the Way!
"In those days, and in that time, saith the LORD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve." Jeremiah 50:20
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, And write them in their hearts: And I will be to them a God, And they shall be to me a people:" Hebrews 8:10
When His Law is in our minds & hearts, and we live it out completely, God will not see our iniquity any longer. He will not see us walking aimlessly in the wrong direction...He will see His Blood upon us as we take on His Name in repentance & baptism of water and Spirit! When we have found Jesus, we have found The Way! Bible study & prayer is the best way to know Him more!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
