Atmosphere of Praise

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 146-147, 1 Corinthians 15:1-28

In church, we talk about creating an atmosphere of praise. Scripture also says, "But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel." Psalm 22:3. God inhabits the praise of His people! When we truly think about the atmosphere of the earth itself, and how God created every last inch of it, it should not be hard to get into the mode of worshipping & praising God in our church atmosphere! Scripture gives us so many beautiful examples which paint a picture of earth's atmosphere of praise!

"He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite." Psalm 147:4‭-‬5

He has created each star & knows them by name! His understanding is infinite! How incredible is that! That Scripture alone should cause His saints to shine like stars of praise! If He knows each star by name, how much more does He know each one of us?

"He casteth forth his ice like morsels: Who can stand before his cold? He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow." Psalm 147:17‭-‬18

From freezing to melting, from hot to cold, any climate in any atmosphere, He is God! He can melt any ice cap, so why not let Him melt our hearts? Allow these Scriptures to place us in a place of praise to Him for all He has done, and all He continues to do!

"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." 1 Corinthians 15:20‭-‬22

Beyond creation, God has power over any type of destruction...even death! He has risen, and is alive today! This is why we need to seek & receive the Holy Ghost! His Spirit in us is the fulfillment of the beautiful symphony of praise, and helps us further know & love our Creator Who has given each star a name! Repentance & baptism of water & Spirit truly brings the whole atmosphere of Heaven & earth together as we go from earthly creatures only to Spiritual creatures of praise!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
