Attitude at Will

Bible Reading Today: Leviticus 22-23

Leviticus 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.

One of the hardest things to do is have a calm, collected reaction & attitude as we go through the motions of the day. We forget we have a choice in the matter! When something bad happens, we automatically give negativity right back, most of the time. When good happens, we react with good...but what if we chose our attitude instead of letting our situations decide? As the Scripture states about thanksgiving offerings...offer them at your own will! The Israelites had to give a thankful offering willingly, remembering to put their hearts into it. Would God want us to offer Him forced thankfulness? To do His work with an unwilling attitude? We may not always feel up to the task at hand...but we CAN control our attitudes! We can remind ourselves of the great God we serve and the eternal purpose of it all. Wouldn't it be great to have joyfulness and thankfulness drive us through life all the way to eternity!? Of course it will be a life practice, improving more & more each day, but I think that's a challenge we should be willing to accept! We will feel so much better! "But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."

Luke 6:35

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
