Bible Reading Today: Isaiah 5-8

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Reading through Isaiah reminded me of the times we are living in today. Israel was was going to be judged & taken captive because of its decisions to turn further & further away from God...when we choose to go this route, things start turning backwards, and we become froward...evil is celebrated, and good is ridiculed...things done in darkness are brought to light...sweet & innocent has been traded for bitterness & corruption...the foundation of Truth that has been our nation's solid ground since the beginning is being challenged and pushed aside to make room for things that divide us. The things of old don't have to be destroyed. They worked for so long, and it's not doing any good to bring them into question. God is still good! When Israel went backwards away from God, they became froward. The same downward spiral will continue to happen to our nation if we don't stay grounded in Truth! We don't want to be backward & froward; we want to go forward by turning back to God!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
