Be the One
Based on 2 Chronicles 23-24, John 15
"And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him." 2 Chronicles 23:1
Jehoiada the priest knew that Joash was meant to be king, not Athaliah the queen, who had wicked intentions and led everyone astray, away from God. Jehoiada knew something had to be done, so he knew he had to be the one! He strengthened himself. He strengthened all the forces of those willing to be on The Lord's side. The Lord was enough motivation for him to be the one, strengthen himself and do what was right! We must also know that The Lord's Cause is the best cause, and He will give us favor if we take a stand for Him!
"Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house of God. And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about. Then they brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king." 2 Chronicles 23:9-11
Jehoiada set the defense, then they set the crown upon the king's head! This would have been a bold move if the king had been older, but it was an even bolder move because the new king was just a child! They had to be very careful and have God's Hand of protection on them every step of the way. When we desire to take a stand for God, for Truth, for what's right, He will protect us!
"But Jehoiada waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died. And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, both toward God, and toward his house." 2 Chronicles 24:15-16
Jehoiada was a priest buried among kings! He was full of days because he lived a fruitful life. God has chosen us to boldly go forward and do the same! WE CAN BE THE ONE!
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." John 15:16
Our fruit will remain! What we do for Christ lasts longer than anything! We can ask for strength along the way, and He will provide it! Step out in faith today and BE THE ONE!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
