Be True to Truth!
Based on 2 Corinthians 9-10, Proverbs 7
"My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye." Proverbs 7:1-2
There has been in an obvious pattern in what we've been reading so far since the beginning: God's Word prevails every time, in every person we've studied, in every situation! Through the New Testament messages of Paul & Old Testament Proverbs we are reading now, it's made it clear to me-we need to be true to Truth, God's Word, just like He has constantly been faithful to us!
"Keep my commandments, and live;" as stated above...all other ways beside God's Way are the ways of death and destruction; no eternal value!
"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
2 Corinthians 9:6-7
We need to cheerfully give & share out of our storehouses at this time. Not out of obligation, but out of an open heart! This does not only apply to the tangible goods we may have, but the spiritual goods! The Word of God! We need to spread it cheerfully. We need to be true to the Truth that gives us that cheerfulness and sets us free! We don't just give it out because it says it in The Word, we give it out because we LOVE His Word! It makes us cheerful!
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)"
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
What we are facing today is bigger than anything we've had to face before-but God is the biggest! We need to always remember that what we are facing is solved better through prayer and staying true to God instead of through our own strength & weaponry. Every battle can be fought in the Spirit! Then, the positive outcome will be manifested as God does a great work!
"But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."
2 Corinthians 10:17
Stay true to Truth. Stay true to God. Give Him the glory!
"Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present." 2 Corinthians 10:11
If we read God's Word & speak it, we must live it! We do not want to be hypocritical. We do not want to give encouragement that we ourselves do not apply to our own lives. Let's practice what we preach! The more we apply God's Word, the better life will be!
"With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him." Proverbs 7:21
This is how easily we can stray away from Truth! Look at what caused the yielding of this man to the harlot described in Proverbs 7: "the flattering of her lips." It was her word against God's Word! A lie against The Truth! God's Word will give us life, and it takes another false word to destroy us. It wasn't a physical force, but a willing obedience to a lie in the battle of spiritual warfare! We must beware of how easy it is to lose ourselves in the words of this world. We must listen to God alone!
"Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths." Proverbs 7:24-25
Attend unto the Words that come directly from the mouth of God! Don't let a false word lead you. Don't drown in the uncertainty that is our reality right now. Find hope in being true to Truth!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
