Bible Reading Today: Ezekiel 5-8

Ezekiel 8:8 Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.

Throughout these chapters of Ezekiel, God brought him deeper & deeper through a vision into areas of Jerusalem where God's people were corrupting themselves...I suppose you could say Ezekiel was given a peek inside the depths of their hearts' chambers...their true motives, their true desires...every vision worse than the first...as the Scripture states, even behind the walls it got worse. The wickedness did not stop there. There was a door to continue on & see just how bad it really was. I'm sure Ezekiel was aware of some of what he saw, but I'm sure he was shocked by most of it. He was given a glimpse of why it was so hard for them to listen to his message & turn back to God. They were so far gone! Who are we behind closed doors? Do we give every bit of us to God, or are there things we try to bury in the walls in secret? Turns out, nothing is hid from God! He wants us to check ourselves & evaluate every area of our lives. If something is not glorifying Him, maybe it's time to highly reconsider that decision! Let's peel back the layers, open the doors of our hearts, and give God full control! We will be more impressed by what God will do than what we try to do on our own! And no matter how far gone, God always wants us to turn back!

Ezekiel 8:12 Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
