Behold The Lamb!
Based on Joshua 16-18
Resurrection Sunday is here! Christ is risen; behold The Lamb and take hold of the promise! The greatest inheritance we have is God, and anything that comes from God in this life according to His perfect Will is such a blessing. Joshua & God's people understood when it was time to take hold of their lands of inheritance in the promised land, and we too must know that now is the acceptable time to behold The Lamb, Jesus, and live for Him all the way to our promised land in eternity!
"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"
2 Corinthians 6:2
BEHOLD!! NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME!
BEHOLD!! NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION!
BEHOLD THE LAMB!
"So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance."
Joshua 16:4
Most of the tribes could not wait to conquer their lands & embrace their new territories. Some of them even went above & beyond:
"But Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons, but daughters: and these are the names of his daughters, Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the Lord he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their father." Joshua 17:3-4
The daughters desired an inheritance since no brothers came before them, and The Lord gave it to them according to His commandment! Ladies, we are not exempt from the promises of God! We may not have always fought like men of valor to gain what we have, but when we ask, God always listens! Be bold & BEHOLD THE LAMB!
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matthew 7:7
"And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only: But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong." Joshua 17:17-18
The tribe of Joseph also inquired of Joshua and desired a greater portion of land. The Canaanites still dwelt in the land and paid tribute to the Israelites, but since Joseph wanted to push further, Joshua told him he will drive them out, no matter how strong they seemed! Joseph's desire for a greater portion in his inheritance was stronger!
How strong is our desire for the things of God? How strong is our desire for God Himself, our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ?
Believe it or not, there were actually some tribes which did not stand up right away to fight & possess their land:
"And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you?" Joshua 18:2-3
WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?? It's time to take hold of the promise. It's time to behold our Lamb, Jesus! Today we celebrate how He rose from the dead and delivered us from sin. In the Seder Dinner, we were reminded of the deliverance from the harsh bondage of sinful Egypt. God has done so much for us...how can we not behold & embrace Him!? How can we not see that every step of the great leaders in the Bible were ordered of The Lord, all the way to Calvary?
JESUS HAS RISEN!! LET'S BEHOLD OUR LAMB!! We love You, Lord. Thank You!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
