Being Blessed
Reading of the Day 4/1/25: 2 Samuel 4-6
2 Samuel 6:12: And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
It is so wonderful to finally see Israel in celebration mode! After many years of back & forth, attacks of the enemy & many more unfortunate circumstances, God's people finally welcome the ark of The Lord into the city of David. David has just become the king over all of Israel, and bringing in the ark was quite an honor...but before this celebration took place, the ark was being carried by someone else who died for touching the ark instead of carrying it by the proper handles. David feared because of this, and he put the ark temporarily in the house of Obed-edom for a while. And when David found out the whole house of Obed-edom was blessed because the ark rested there, David was relieved & glad and celebrated by finally bringing the ark to the city of David! In previous posts, we saw what happened to those who obtained the ark but were serving idols...they were cursed & bad things began to happen to them! But when David saw that he & his people would be blessed in keeping the ark, they were overjoyed! David was always careful to enquire of God for every step of his journey-and this gave him favor, being blessed of God in all he did! When we purpose ourselves to live for The Lord, we can live in celebration mode all the time! We need to always realize we are blessed! When we are given the precious things of God, as David was given the ark, we are given a great honor because God entrusts us to handle those things with care! During this time of celebration, David not only celebrates himself being blessed of God, but desires to bless others as well: 2 Samuel 6:18: "And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts." In being blessed, we are to become blessings to those around us so they develop a desire to serve God & be blessed as well!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
