Birth & Growth

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Hosea 9-11, Revelation 3

"Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." Hosea 10:12

In order to grow up, we must first be born...this is an obvious fact, but how quick are we to sometimes want to skip the "birth" or "breaking up our fallow ground"? We want to jump right to prosperity & growth! But God knows, as His children, everything is a delicate process...and He is willing to take us through that process of new birth, just like the physical birth we went through! In order to change our ways, we need a broken, repentant heart. One willing to break with our past, then we need the good washing of baptism & receiving the refreshing of His Holy Ghost! Then we can be ready for some REAL growth!

"When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt." Hosea 11:1

God loves us as children & wants to see us grow, out of Egypt, sin & sorrow & into His greater calling! We can't just have a "break through moment" where we have a great experience with God, but our lives don't change or develop Spiritual meaning...we must have the growth too!

"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name." Revelation 3:12

There are birthing pains. There are growing pains...but through the pain comes being a pillar, tried & true for The Lord! It's all worth it to see His plan for us unfold...on earth & in eternity!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
