Blossoming out of Barrenness

Reading of the Day: Numbers 16-18

Numbers 17:8: And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

The Israelites were still in the wilderness physically & mentally. Although The Lord had them in a geographical location of a wilderness, in the previous post we discussed how He gave them a glimpse of their promised land. They were intimidated, and that intimidation led to complaining & murmuring once again. In order to show the people that God gave them trusted leaders who would surely be led of God to guide them, all the princes of Israel with Aaron placed rods in the tabernacle, and Aaron's came out budding, blossoming & bearing almonds the next day! Not only did God make it clear to trust Aaron & those in leadership over the congregation, He also brought blossoming out of barrenness! How could a rod spring forth with so much life sitting in the tabernacle? Only God could do that! It doesn't matter if we are living a life of abundance or poverty, in the promised land or in the wilderness...God should be our soul source of nourishment! He brings beauty from ashes. He brings light to the darkness. He makes something out of nothing! If we have it all together or if we don't, we need God! He will bring new life to your situation, and blossoming out of barrenness!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
