Carried Away
Bible Reading Today: 2 Kings 24-25, 2 Chronicles 36
2 Kings 25:21 And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.
When we hear the saying, "I got a little carried away..." what does that usually mean? It means we got out of control, we allowed the situation to get the best of us, etc. And, it's usually not a good thing! That's exactly what happened to the Israelites. They strayed away from God in their hearts, got carried away with an idolatrous lifestyle, and literally got carried away out of the land God originally gave them! This is exactly what happens to us when we stray away from God in our hearts. We feel so far away, like the Israelites when they were carried away captive...we can't let the world get our best, and God get our least! Let's look forward to the day when The Lord will carry us away to Heavenly places, instead of being carried away with the world!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
