CELEBRATE THE LORD!
Based on 1 Chronicles 13-15
"8: And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets." 1 Chronicles 13:8.
David always gave his all to God. With everything in his heart & being, he wanted to please The Lord. Since he loved God so much, he wanted to celebrate Him! The Good News is that God hasn't changed since the time of David, and He is always worthy of being celebrated! Just as in the times of David, we can trust God to cause victories! That's why God always deserves our worship, honor, glory, praise & CELEBRATION!
"15: And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16: And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy." 1 Chronicles 15:15-16.
The incredible part about these Scripture passages is that David & all of Israel are celebrating the ark of God coming home, despite many hardships along the way. The first Scripture was the first attempt of the ark on it's way home. It stopped short because a man named Uzza, a carrier of the ark, put his hand upon it to try to help God. But God doesn't need our help! Uzza ended up dying, and David placed the ark in a different place out of fear. David then noticed that the town the ark was in was blessed, so they knew they could bring it home (in the right way this time!).
They celebrated just as much the second time! Especially because GOD never changed! God always loved them. But in reality...the PEOPLE changed! They handled the ark as God commanded, and God allowed the ark to finally come home! They celebrated God, and their relationship WITH God!
"24: And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25: So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy." 1 Chronicles 15:24-25.
Blow the trumpet! Make a joyful noise! Celebrate God in every circumstance, and the outcome will be miraculous-all for His glory! And we might just go through some healthy changes along the way... ;)
