Consider Our Ways
Based on Jude 1, Haggai 1-2, Psalm 137
It takes more effort than one might think, to "think before we act." It is so easy to let ourselves just "go with the flow" of our up & down emotions, instead of the flow of God's Spirit. We truly need to consider our ways, be mindful of what we do, and be aware of the message we are sending to others. We can't justify our crazy actions by the crazy actions of others!
"Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways." Haggai 1:5-7.
In considering our ways, we must ask...are we doing things God's way? Do we care what God's Will is for our lives at all? When we don't live according to God's plan, we do all in vain. We may prosper, but we feel empty. We cannot be satisfied by living off of our impulsive, temporary feelings. We can only be fulfilled by Jesus & His perfect Will!
"Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied." Jude 1:2.
The mercy, peace & love of God can only be multiplied if we decide to let it work through us & flow to others! Only God can do it, but the question is, will we close ourselves off from the ways of God? Will be be too focused on our own agendas to allow that to take place? In turn, we will allow more negativity to be shown when we don't allow God to work through us...God will work by the flow of the Holy Ghost!
"How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Jude 1:18-21.
We can't live on the sensual! We have to live on the Spiritual! We can't have Spiritual ways without having the Spirit!
"How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?" Psalms 137:4.
When we are walking our own way, away from God, we end up in a strange, sinful land. It is hard to praise God in such a sin-filled state...but thankfully, when we receive God's Spirit and are baptized in Jesus' Name, we know God in the most intimate way! We become more accustomed to His ways. We live less sinful, less sensual, and more Spiritual & supernatural! Let's consider His ways above our ways in Jesus' Name!!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
